Why iTokyo for Study in Japan

Four things other agencies can't offer.

Most Indian agencies sit between you and UNITAS, marking up every step. We are UNITAS's official direct partner — and we own the entire Japan-side operation through our Tokyo sister company.

🎓

UNITAS direct admission

Official partner of UNITAS Japan since 2012. Your application goes straight to UNITAS admissions — no agent layers, no marked-up fees, no information drift between parties.

🔁

End-to-end pipeline

Counselling, JLPT training, document prep, UNITAS interview, COE tracking, visa documentation, consulate routing, flight booking, and Japan arrival support. One team, sixteen stages.

🇮🇳

Pan-India, city-aware

Our campus is in Coimbatore, but our students come from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Delhi, Assam, Goa — every state. We route your visa application to the Japanese consulate that serves your home state.

🤝

Honest, always

We don't guarantee COE or visa outcomes — no legitimate firm can. We tell you upfront that N5 is taught by our Indian trainer and that native Japanese instruction starts from N4. You get clarity, not a sales pitch.

The 16-stage pipeline

Every stage we walk with you,
from registration to departure.

Six months, sixteen steps, zero hand-offs. Each stage has a clear deliverable and a specific team member accountable for it.

Questions we hear often

Everything families ask us.

If your question isn't here, WhatsApp us — we'll add it.

How do I get started with Study in Japan?
Start with a free counselling call. Our Study in Japan team reviews your academic profile, explains the 16-stage pipeline, helps you choose between UNITAS Tokyo or Kofu campus, and maps out your personalised route to Japan. Every journey is tailored — no two students follow the same plan.
What's the minimum Japanese level needed?
JLPT N5 is the UNITAS 2026 minimum. If you haven't reached N5 yet, our 3-month foundation program teaches you Hiragana, Katakana, basic grammar, and the 100 most-used daily phrases. Then we apply to UNITAS.
Do I have to travel to Coimbatore for any step?
No. Counselling, document submission, UNITAS interview prep, and the full visa workflow are all online. The visa stamping itself happens at your regional Japanese consulate — Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, or Bengaluru, depending on your home state.
What happens if my COE gets rejected?
We re-apply once as part of our end-to-end service commitment. Our last four intakes had 100% COE success, but the free re-application is your insurance if anything comes up.
Can I work part-time while studying?
Yes. Student visa in Japan permits up to 28 hours per week of part-time work with a work permit applied alongside your visa. Most iTokyo students cover their monthly rent and groceries this way.
What can I do after graduating from UNITAS?
Most students progress to a Japanese university, vocational college, or Japan-based employment. Our sister company NEX-GEN Corporation (Tokyo) supports alumni through placement in IT, bilingual roles, bridge engineering, hospitality, and manufacturing.
How long is the full journey?
Typically six months from first counselling call to boarding your flight. COE processing (roughly 60–120 days) is the longest single step. We keep you informed every week.
What if I'm not in Tamil Nadu?
You're still welcome. We serve students from every state in India — counselling and document workflow are fully online. Your visa stamping will happen at the Japanese consulate in the region covering your home state.
